Prolog Day in Campinas: highlights of the 1st edition
Prolog Day is more than an event — it is a meeting point for anyone who wants real control of their fleet and to spend less on tires, diesel and maintenance.
If you are a fleet manager and feel you lack the time, reliable data or technical support to make day-to-day decisions, don't worry! You are not alone. And it was precisely with this hectic routine, full of pressure and urgent decisions, in mind that Prolog Day was created.
The first edition took place in Campinas, São Paulo, on May 27, and brought together specialists, partners and fleet managers who are on the front line of operations. For an entire afternoon, participants had access to practical talks, experience sharing and tools aimed at real management issues.
In addition, the event featured Pneumark, a Prolog partner, which shared valuable lessons about what goes on behind the scenes of the operation.
And best of all: Prolog Day was designed as a recurring event, with new editions in several cities across Brazil. That is why it is worth keeping an eye on what Prolog is up to.
In this post, you will find:
- What is Prolog Day?
- What did participants see at the first edition?
- Tire control in practice
- How to use AI in fleet management?
- What are people saying about the 1st edition of the event?
Keep reading to understand the main takeaways from the Campinas edition and why the event speaks directly to the routine of those who need to manage a fleet with more control.
What is Prolog Day?
Prolog Day is an in-person, free workshop for fleet managers and other professionals who work in freight transport operations. Created by Prolog, the event's main goal is to share practical knowledge, show real cases and present solutions that help reduce costs and improve fleet control.
Prolog Day was designed for people who are in the day-to-day of the operation and need quick results, well-defined processes and technology that really works in practice.
At each edition, participants have access to talks by specialists, demonstrations of Prolog's tools and a space to share experiences with other professionals in the industry. All of this in a light, straightforward afternoon, 100% focused on bringing value to the routine of those who manage a fleet.
In addition, Prolog Day is not a one-off event: it is meant to be recurring, with editions planned in several cities across Brazil. In other words, even if you did not attend the first edition, it is worth following Prolog's channels to hear about the next gatherings.
What participants saw at the first edition
At the first edition of Prolog Day, in Campinas, participants attended talks focused on the real challenges of fleet management — with straightforward, applicable content.
On stage were Jean, Prolog's CEO, Luiz, the company's CTO, tire management specialist and Prolog partner Diego Paludo, as well as a special appearance by Pneumark.
In one of the presentations, Jean showed how Prolog helps resolve common issues in fleets, such as:
- Lack of precision in the data collected in the field
- The risks of errors in inspections
- Tire purchases and replacements without planning
- Difficulty keeping track of the status of each asset
Prolog's solution was presented in a practical way, in four simple stages:
- Registering tires and vehicles and keeping track of their status
- Control of deadlines and inspections directly in the app
- Measurements recorded in the system with the support of Prolog's equipment
- Access to centralized information for faster, more efficient decisions
One of the points stressed in the talk was the importance of centralizing all information in one place. When data is organized and up to date, the manager has a clear view of the operation and can act more quickly — without depending on spreadsheets or parallel controls.
Another highlight was the role of the Prolog team in supporting implementation. More than providing technology, the team works closely with the customer to ensure that the system works and delivers real results.
At the end of the presentation, Jean also shared positive feedback from customers, highlighting how the tool brought more control, less rework and better use of tires.
Tire control in practice
In the two talks he gave at Prolog Day, specialist Diego Paludo offered a direct, data-based view of how much tires influence fleet costs — and how much smart management can generate real savings.
In the first talk, the focus was tire CPK (Cost per Kilometer Driven). Paludo debunked two very common beliefs when choosing tires:
- The best tire is not just the one that runs the longest
- The cheapest is not synonymous with the lowest CPK
(Video in Portuguese.) In addition, Paludo shared a step-by-step guide to find out which tire make or tire model really delivers the best result in each operation, using CPK as the decision metric — and not just the purchase price.
In the second talk, the focus was more technical and centered on tire maintenance. He explained the differences between highway, mixed-service and urban tires, highlighting the specific care each type requires.
He also talked about the role of the tire repair shop in the fleet's day-to-day and how simple failures in this process can compromise tire performance and safety.
To wrap up, Paludo reinforced the “ABC of maintenance”, three fundamental points that need to be on every manager's radar:
- A – Axle alignment
- B – Wheel balancing
- C – Air pressure control
If kept up regularly, these three practices increase the useful life of tires and prevent premature wear — with a direct impact on the cost per kilometer.
The talks were practical, with real examples and applicable tips for anyone who wants more control over one of the most expensive assets in the fleet: tires.
How to use AI in fleet management?
In the last talk of Prolog Day, Luiz, Prolog's CTO, raised an important point: every new technology generates fear — and artificial intelligence is no different.
He compared the arrival of AI to the emergence of automobiles. At first, they caused distrust. Today, it is impossible to imagine the world without them. AI is following the same path: it is already part of our daily lives — even if you do not notice it.
You probably already use AI without realizing it:
- It is in Waze and Google Maps, pointing out the best route
- It is in Netflix, Spotify and even in email suggestions.
- Before, AI only analyzed. Now, it creates, answers, recommends and anticipates issues.
Luiz showed how generative AI represents the next stage of technology in logistics operations. It goes far beyond reports and charts: now, you ask a question and it gives you an answer with context.
As a bonus, Luiz also revealed that Prolog is preparing AI features to transform the way decisions are made in fleet management. The goal is to bring more agility, more clarity and less time spent on operational tasks.
You could ask, for example: “How many tires were disposed of last week?” The AI can answer and organize the data by operation, by disposal reason or by tire type. All this without having to open manual reports or complex spreadsheets.
It was a talk that closed the event with a vision of the future — showing that the technology is already ready to be used to benefit fleet management.
What are people saying about the 1st edition of the event?
What happened at Prolog Day was much more than a workshop on fleet management — it was a moment of exchange, connection and vision of the future.
Those who attended the first edition left convinced that it is possible to have more control of the operation, reduce costs and make better decisions with the support of the right technology.
Here are some of the takeaways participants highlighted:
- “I really liked the AI topic, which, although it wasn't the focus of the event, may be a shortcut for me to improve my team and for us to have a structure to manage tires better together with Prolog.”
- “Learning to analyze CPK using Prolog, doing better analyses to try to get one more life out of the tire!“
- “The need to calculate CPK to control tires.”
These testimonials show that Prolog Day fulfilled its role: generating value for those on the front line of the operation, dealing with tires, maintenance and cost control every day.
And this was only the first edition. Since the event is meant to be recurring, Prolog continues to use this format to bring practical content closer to managers and operations in different regions.
